Lightfall

Note: The art assets for the Player Character and Enemies were not implemented, so just imagine a lizard-bug alien whenever you see a stand-in ninja.

Lightfall is a third person shooter where the player fights to protect their home against an alien swarm.

Lightfall uses the Top-Down Engine by MoreMountains as a foundational asset, but most systems were build from scratch over the course of four months.

In house systems:

  • Day-Night system
  • Ability upgrade system
  • Ability use and cooldown system
  • Tutorial system
  • Dialogue system
  • Reward/ Progression system
  • Save system
  • Enemy Spawn and Wave systems
  • Enemy Pathfinding, using Unity NavMesh

  • Music sound mixing system for combat
  • Narrative, dialogue, and worldbuilding
  • Music scores, using Flat.io
  • Environmental level design
  • Enemy, equipment, ability, and progression balancing
